Dion Giuliano’s Kal Koncepts, and Craig Fraser’s Air Syndicate have been working together for 20 years. While Dion specializes in fiberglass fabrication, painting, and clearcoating, Craig is more known for Airbrushing, Pinstriping, kustom graphics, and the fine art of the Kustom Kulture. Between the two of them they have seen KKAS go through the highs, and lows of the Kustom Kulture, and many changeds in the steyles, and trends of the kustom paint industry. With more than 65 magazine covers, and 350 features, Dion, and Craig have been able to stay on the leading edge of kustom painting for the past three decades. Finishing up their team for the past 6 years has been Brandon Lambie of Black Sheep Kustoms. Between the three of them there is little that cannot by kustomized, modified, painted, and airbrushed in their shop. Whether it be a chopper for the Easy Rider show, Guitars for Fender, and Jackson, a full blown drift car for HoK, or a set of Drums for Poison, Kal Koncepts/Air Syndicate is always up to the challenge. http://www.gotpaint.com

Paint to live, live to paint
Fraser

Rice Fink started out as a cab of a 66 Subaru JDM caretaker’s truck, that had been sitting behind Dion’s shop for over 20 years. One day Dion literally decided he wanted to not only finish it, but to get it done in time for SEMA. In three months this truck went from a frameless cab to the micro-truck you see today. Powered by a Yamaha Genesis 600cc engine with an independent sandrail rearend. The entire frame is handbuilt, as well as the rear bed. It is fully hydraulic, sponsored by Reds, and even sports a full stereo system sponsored by Sony. The paintjob is 100% House of Kolor kandies, layered over flakes, and pearls. Usually showing in specialty class, or radical, the Rice Fink has remained undefeated I the past dozen shows. The theme of the Rice Fink is based on Ed, “Big Daddy” Roth’s Rat Fink character. The truck itself is a tribute to the vehicles built by Big Daddy, and the influence he had on the Kustom Kulture.
