Split Image Kustoms, Hanford, CA
Dalton, 30yrs. old, welding comes naturally having been raised and working side by side with his father since 13yrs. old. in their own welding and fabrication shop, Walkers Welding in Laton Ca., and started his side business Split Image Kustoms (s.I.k. Motorcycles). He is known locally for several modified and air bagged trucks that have appeared in several different magazines since 2000, and more recently motorcycles. He has gained a lot of recognition as one of a few welders that build their own frames and parts. His first bike "UNO" took 3yrs. to build. It's simplicity is unique and the paint is flawless. The paint was was done by his good friends at Kal Koncepts & Air Syndicate by Dion Guilliano and Craig Frasier. Last fall Dalton took UNO to Las Vegas for Bikefest and won 1st. place in the Radical Division, which landed him an invitation to Artistry In The Iron Competition this past year. UNO went on to compete at the Easyriders shows in Los Angeles and Sacramento where he won both in the Evo Radical and Best Paint categories. UNO was shot by world famous motorcycle photographer "Michael Lichter" and is due to be in an upcoming Easyriders Magazine. UNO has also appeared in several magazines such as Cycle Source, Low Rider, Thunder Press, Air Brush Action, Back Street Heroes, Street Truck, and Street Choppers. UNO was displayed at the 2010 SEMA show in the IAWATA paint gun booth. Dalton also took UNO and competed at the Hippy Killer Hoedown show where he won the "Freddy Hernandez Award." Quite an honor coming from a living legend such as Freddy Hernandez, an "old school builder." More recently, Dalton took UNO to Long Beach to the Ultimate Builder Custom Show and placed 3rd. in the Freestyle Division. Dalton is currently showing a new build which has landed him a spot in the American Motorcycle Dealer World Championship at Sturgis SD in 2012, and has won the David Mann "Best of Show, and Cycle Source Awards." Dalton Walker has been a welder, and fabrication specialist for his fathers company for as long as he can remember. A few years ago, he started up his own kustom fabrication shop, “Spit Image Kustoms” ( “SIK” for short) At the same time he began working on a few choppers. Dalton did not want to just modify up existing bikes, he wanted to create bikes that no one had ever seen before, but with the old world craftsmanship, so that people would be fooled into swearing the bikes were original production models. Dalton not only hand fabricates the frames, bars, and engine mounts, but the wheels, and front ends as well. When you see one of Dalton’s creations, you would be hard pressed to point out what is factory, and what is fiction. All of Dalton’s creations have been painted by Kal Koncepts/Air Syndicate Inc. His favorite paint work is just as old school as his creations, Kandies, patterns, and metalflake! Dalton has taken best of show at the Easyrider events an unprecedented 4 times, with his blue chopper, and gold bobber. Keep an eye out at Sturgis this year for the new stretched “Denver” style chopper he is building for Craig Fraser of Air Syndicate.

Dion Giuliano’s Kal Koncepts, and Craig Fraser’s Air Syndicate have been working together for 20 years. While Dion specializes in fiberglass fabrication, painting, and clearcoating, Craig is more known for Airbrushing, Pinstriping, kustom graphics, and the fine art of the Kustom Kulture. Between the two of them they have seen KKAS go through the highs, and lows of the Kustom Kulture, and many changeds in the steyles, and trends of the kustom paint industry. With more than 65 magazine covers, and 350 features, Dion, and Craig have been able to stay on the leading edge of kustom painting for the past three decades. Finishing up their team for the past 6 years has been Brandon Lambie of Black Sheep Kustoms.
